Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) joined hands for retrofitting energy efficient appliances in IPGCL facilities.  A Memorandum of Understanding was signed to initiate the exercise by Shri Jagdish Kumar, Director, IPGCL and Shri Sanjay Saraswat, National Program Manager for EESL’s BEEP program, during the event. As per the MOU, EESL will replace about 18,000 lights, 2,500 ceiling fans and 1,000 air-conditioners with highly energy efficient models in IPGCL office and substations. Electricity savings of at least 50% are expected to be realized from this initiative.
