ITC Mudfort is a thoughtfully-designed 10-story residential complex for ITC’s senior management, spread over 213,613 sq. ft. in Jeevanhalli, Bangalore. It is a GRIHA 5 star rated and IGBC Green Homes Platinum certified building. Despite being in a dense urban fabric, this project shows how climate responsive design can still be achieved for contemporary buildings with a creative and integrated approach.

The webinar featured Mr. Mehul Patel (architect) and other stakeholders of the project, who discussed about the design approach, strategies, and challenges. It explored key aspects of the project, like why the designers opted for high-rise development in the middle of a predominantly low-rise neighborhood, the unusual decision to go for two different green building certifications and its low energy demand even with the less-than-favorable site orientation.
