St.Andrews student’s hostel at Gurugram, India by Zero Energy Design Labs (ZED) embodies climate responsive design and more to achieve the Net Zero Energy goal. The design prioritizes thermal comfort and functionality to become an exemplar of zero energy design. Strategies such as appropriate form and orientation, materiality and creation of spaces in the hostel block are based on climatic conditions, sun path analysis and air movement.
