Launch of National Program on Retrofit of Air-conditioning to improve Indoor Air Quality for Safety and Efficiency (RAISE)

“Retrofit of Air-conditioning to improve Indoor air quality for Safety and Efficiency” (RAISE), is a program developed to address concerns about indoor air quality and energy efficiency in response to COVID-19. RAISE focuses on enhanced indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency of air-conditioning systems.

RAISE was launched by Mr. R.K. Singh, Honorable Minister of Power, N&RE and Skill Development, GoI in the presence of Mr. S.N. Sahai, Secretary (Power); Mr. Saurabh Kumar MD, EESL; Mr. Rajeev Sharma, Chairman EESL; Ms. Apurva Chaturvedi, USAID and Venkatesh Dwivedi, Director (P&BD), EESL. Over 600 people across the globe attended the live launch event.

USAID and EESL also signed an MoU to scale deployment of the program nationally. MoU’s were also exchanged between EESL and NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited and PFC (Power Finance Corporation Ltd) for implementing the RAISE program across their offices.
